Meet Bob
Bob, or Bobby as his family calls him, was born on June 15, 1960 in Mount Clemens, Michigan. After a tumultuous childhood he was forced to grow up quickly and began working as a full-time welder in his uncle’s shop when he was 15. Despite the many ups and downs of his life, his family knows him as someone who can instantly brighten your day with his smile.
Since being locked away, Bob’s father, mother, and two nephews have died. The only family he has left are his two sisters, Deborah and Renee, and his daughter. All Bob wants is to spend his last days with his family, helping the homeless, and singing the word of God.
The Case
On December 12, 2001, a home burglary occurred in the small community of Lanark Village, Florida. Despite no forensic evidence whatsoever and no eyewitness identification, Bob was arrested, convicted, and sentenced to life without parole for the crime. Since being wrongfully convicted, the state’s primary piece of evidence – the testimony of a jailhouse informant – has been revealed to be a complete lie. Plagued by confirmation bias, the police delivered an appallingly inadequate investigation to the prosecution, who then relied on this false testimony to fill the gaping holes in their case theory. As a result, Bob has spent 22 years incarcerated for a crime he did not commit. It’s time to bring him home.
